The Telescopic Nail consists of two parts, D profile bar (male nail) and suitable D profile tube (female nail) with threaded end. It is made of high grade medical stainless steel. The male and female nails have five different diameter choices. The male nail comes in one length for each diameter. The female nails have five different length choices for each diameter. The Telescopic Nail includes a special designed corkscrew end on the distal part of the male nail that holds the nail firmly in the bone and prevents damage to the growth plate. The Telescopic Nail is indicated for children with long bone deformity corrections, fracture stabilisation, patients with osteoporotic bone and for children older than 18 months who are diagnosed with osteogenesis imperfecta.
