Description

C-Nail is an intramedullary nail for minimally invasive fixation of intraarticular calcaneal fractures. The principle is to stabilise with the nail the four to five main fragments of the fractured calcaneus in conjunction with up to seven interlocking screws and thus creating angular stable fixation. The maximum stability is achieved by fixing the sustentacular fragment towards the nail with two interlocking screws guided by a very precise aiming device. The design of the nail is clearly marked "L" for left foot and "R" for right foot. The nail length is 65mm with a diameter of 8mm. The nail can be extended and closed with an end cap that comes in 0mm, 5mm, 10mm, 15mm and 20mm sizes.
