BlackArmor Carbon Fibre/PEEK Curved / Multicurved Rods
The BlackArmor material is a combination of continuous, high-strength carbon- fiber-reinforced PEEK and a procedure developed by icotec – Injection Moulding CFM (Composite Flow Moulding). The result is a non-metallic implant component with an interwoven 3D fibre architecture that provides unmatched strength and endurance. BlackArmor® is radiolucent in all diagnostic imaging modes (MRI, CT and X-ray) and will therefore not create imaging artifacts; a significant clinical benefit in the postoperative monitoring of anatomical structures and other forms of treatment.
